What is included in each kit?

What is the difference between the 4-in-1, 5-in-1 and 6-in-1 kits?

The 4-in-1 Musician Kit is the core recording setup and does not include a wireless receiver. The 5-in-1 Creator Kit adds RX Mini for wireless USB-C recording and streaming to phones and computers. The 6-in-1 Master Kit adds RX Plus, which provides USB-C and 3.5 mm outputs for phones, cameras, speakers, mixers, and more advanced workflows.

Which kit is right for me?

Choose the 4-in-1 Musician Kit if you mainly record at a desk, write songs, or podcast.
Choose the 5-in-1 Creator Kit if you want wireless USB-C recording or livestreaming to a phone or computer.
Choose the 6-in-1 Master Kit if you need camera output, speaker/PA connectivity, or more advanced multi-device workflows.

Where can I buy AirStudio S1?

AirStudio S1 should be purchased through the official HISONG store at hisong.io/products/hisong-airstudio-s1. The old hisong.ai domain redirects to hisong.io. Purchases made elsewhere are not guaranteed to be official.

What’s the difference between Music Kit, Creator Kit and Master Kit?

What’s the difference between Music Kit, Creator Kit and Master Kit?
The Music Kit is the 4-in-1 entry configuration for core recording. The Creator Kit adds RX Mini for wireless USB-C workflows. The Master Kit adds RX Plus for camera, speaker, and expanded routing workflows.

What does RX Plus do?

RX Plus is an enhanced wireless receiver for more advanced connection scenarios. It is better suited for connecting AirStudio S1 to cameras, mixers, speakers, and other external gear, making it a better choice for more professional or more flexible production workflows.

What does RX Mini do?

RX Mini is a compact wireless USB-C receiver for phones, tablets, and computers. It is designed for lightweight mobile recording, vlogging, livestreaming, and wireless USB microphone input to a single digital device. It does not provide 3.5 mm analog output, an independent battery, or physical volume controls.

Can I buy RX Mini or RX Plus separately?

RX Mini cannot be purchased separately. RX Plus can be purchased separately as an accessory.

Which kit is best for music creation / content creation / live streaming?

For music creation, the 4-in-1 or 5-in-1 kit is generally the best fit. For content creation and mobile video, the 5-in-1 Creator Kit is the most direct match. For live streaming with external speakers, camera workflows, or multi-device routing, the 6-in-1 Master Kit is the best option.

Does AirStudio S1 come with a stand / pop filter / cable?

No matter which bundle you purchase, it includes: a magnetic microphone stand, a microphone windscreen, and a data cable.

If you want the highest-performance wired workflow or want to use Multi-Track Recording, you can connect AirStudio S1 directly to your phone via USB-C. If you want a wireless USB-C workflow for mobile video or streaming, choose a kit that includes RX Mini or RX Plus.

Yes. AirStudio S1 can be used with compatible mounting accessories or stands. For the best stability and safety, use a mount or stand that matches the product structure and intended use.

Which kit do I need for recording with a phone?

If you want the highest-performance wired workflow or want to use Multi-Track Recording, you can connect AirStudio S1 directly to your phone via USB-C. If you want a wireless USB-C workflow for mobile video or streaming, choose a kit that includes RX Mini or RX Plus.

When will my order ship?

Orders are typically processed and shipped within 1–3 business days if the product is in stock.
All orders are shipped from our fulfillment warehouse. Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking information.

How can I track my order?

Once your order ships, you will receive a shipping confirmation email containing your tracking number and tracking link.
You can also log in to your HISONG account to check your order status. If you need additional help, please contact support@hisong.io.

My shipping label was created, but my order hasn’t moved. What does that mean?

This usually means a shipping label has been created, but the package has not yet been physically scanned or updated by the carrier. Tracking is considered active only after handoff to the carrier

If I order today, how long will delivery take?

Delivery times vary depending on your destination and the shipping method selected at checkout.
Estimated delivery times will be displayed during checkout before you complete your purchase.

Can I change my shipping address after placing an order?

If your order has not yet been processed for shipment, please contact support@hisong.io as soon as possible.
We will do our best to help update your shipping address before the order ships. Once an order has entered the shipping process, changes may no longer be possible.

Can I cancel my order?

What is your refund and return policy?

For purchases made through hisong.ai or authorized U.S. retailers, you may request a return within 30 days of delivery for non-defective products if all of the following conditions are met:
The product is unused
It is in the original packaging
All accessories are included
You have obtained a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) from HISONG

Refunds are processed within 7–10 business days after the returned product is received and inspected. Return shipping costs may apply unless HISONG confirms that the return is due to a quality-related issue.

First, check your tracking email, spam folder, and Apple Private Relay address if relevant. If tracking remains unclear, contact support@hisong.io and include your order number and order email address.

If your product arrives with visible damage, manufacturing defects, or functional failure, please contact support@hisong.io within 14 days of delivery and provide photo or video evidence.
For confirmed warranty cases, HISONG will repair or replace the product or affected components and cover the shipping costs. Expedited assistance is also available for confirmed wireless, charging, or DSP-related issues.

Does AirStudio S1 work with iPhone, iPad, Android, Mac and Windows?

Yes. AirStudio S1 is compatible with macOS, Windows, iOS, and Android. On macOS and iOS, no driver is required. On Windows, installing the HISONG ASIO driver is recommended for the best latency and stability.

How do I connect AirStudio S1 to my iPhone?

How do I connect AirStudio S1 to Android?

There are two main workflows. For music production and Multi-Track Recording, connect AirStudio S1 directly to your iPhone or iPad using USB-C. For wireless video capture or streaming, use RX Mini or RX Plus as a wireless USB microphone input. Bluetooth is not used to transmit microphone audio into the phone.

How do I connect AirStudio S1 to my Mac or Windows PC?

You can connect AirStudio S1 to Android through USB-C as a wired audio device, or use RX Mini / RX Plus for wireless digital input workflows. HISONG Link provides control, DSP, routing, and recording functions.

Which DAWs are supported?

AirStudio S1 works with major DAWs and recording apps that support USB audio, including GarageBand, Logic Pro, Cubase, Ableton Live, Pro Tools, Studio One, and Audacity.

Does AirStudio S1 work with Cubase, Cubasis, Logic, Ableton, GarageBand and BandLab?

Yes. The internal knowledge base explicitly lists Cubase, Logic Pro, Ableton Live, and GarageBand, and states that AirStudio S1 works with major DAWs and recording apps that support USB audio input. BandLab may be described under that general compatibility model.

Can I record directly into a DAW?

Yes. AirStudio S1 works as a standard USB audio interface and can be used directly in supported DAWs and recording apps.

Can I use effects from the HISONG app when recording into my DAW?

Yes, but it depends on the dry/wet setting.
If Dry is selected, the app effects will not be recorded into your DAW track.
If Wet is selected, the app effects will be recorded into your DAW track.

If you want a clean track for later mixing, use Dry. If you want to record the sound with effects already applied, use Wet.

Can I connect AirStudio S1 to a camera?

Yes. To connect AirStudio S1 to a camera, use RX Plus and connect the receiver to your camera with the included 3.5 mm TRS cable. RX Plus is the recommended camera recording solution for the AirStudio system.

What can I do in the HISONG Link app?

HISONG Link is the core companion app for AirStudio S1. It lets you connect and control your device, manage recording workflows, adjust settings, and access playback-related functions. It is designed to make AirStudio S1 easier to use across recording, content creation, and other everyday creative workflows.

Where are my recordings stored?

Your recordings are stored locally on the phone used for recording. They are not automatically uploaded to a cloud server or synced to other devices.

How do I add a backing track?

HISONG Link Multi-Track Recording can record a backing track from the phone’s system audio or music apps alongside the vocal.

Can I record vocals and a backing track together?

Yes. HISONG Link Multi-Track Recording can capture a dry vocal track, a backing track, and a mixed track with DSP effects in sync.

Does AirStudio S1 support multi-track recording?

Yes. HISONG Link supports Multi-Track Recording (Auto Capture), but only when AirStudio S1 is connected directly to the phone via USB-C.

Can I upload MP3 files to the app?

No. The app does not currently support directly uploading MP3 files. If future versions add support for audio file import, it will be shown in the app’s available workflow or import options.

Why can’t I use multi-track recording with RX Mini?

Multi-track recording is available through the S1 USB audio workflow in the HISONG Link app. RX Mini is designed for standard wireless audio input workflows such as mobile recording, video, and livestreaming, rather than the dedicated multi-track USB recording path.

Can I use EQ, compression and reverb while recording?

Yes. HISONG Link provides EQ, compression, limiting, reverb, noise reduction, and presets in real time.

What audio format and bit depth does the app record in?

When exporting audio, the app supports WAV and M4A formats.
If you select WAV, the file will be exported as a .wav file.
If you select Low, Mid, or High, the file will be exported as an .m4a file with different bitrate options.

Why can’t I hear anything in my earbuds?

Please check the following:
Make sure the S1 is powered on.
Make sure the earbuds are charged and properly worn.
Make sure the earbuds are connected normally.
Check whether monitoring is enabled.
Check the monitoring volume in the app and on the device.
Make sure your playback source is not muted.

Why is my monitoring volume too low?

A low monitoring level is usually caused by one of these reasons:
the monitoring volume is set too low
the mic input level is too low
the playback source volume is too low
the earbud fit reduces perceived loudness

Try increasing the monitoring volume first, then check your input gain and playback volume.

Is there latency in wireless monitoring?

Yes, but it is designed to be ultra-low latency. The internal knowledge base gives approximately 20 ms from microphone to in-ear monitors, while the support-use document lists approximately 24 ms wireless monitoring latency.

How do I reduce feedback?

For noisy spaces, live environments, or situations where speakers are nearby, switch to Enhanced Dynamic mode, which uses a super-cardioid pickup pattern and rejects more side and rear noise.

Why is my audio too quiet?

Check microphone gain, speaking/singing distance, and whether you are using the most suitable microphone mode for your environment. HISONG Link also provides monitoring and DSP control.

Why is my audio clipping or distorted?

Reduce your input gain and confirm that your microphone mode and DSP settings are appropriate for the source level. HISONG Link includes limiting and compression for real-time control

My input meter isn’t moving. What should I check?

Check that the microphone is powered on, not muted, selected as the active input device, and connected through the correct workflow. HISONG Link handles routing, device control, and monitoring status.

What do the + / – buttons do?

Use these buttons to increase or decrease the microphone volume. For information on the functions of other physical buttons, please refer to the product user manual.

My redemption code isn’t working. What should I do?

For Cubase LE on desktop, please confirm that you are using the redemption code included inside the box and that you are following the official HISONG activation process. If the code still fails, contact support. The uploaded files do not provide a separate troubleshooting flow beyond the activation path itself.

Where can I find my Cubasis LE / Cubase LE code?

Cubasis LE for iOS does not require a serial number. It unlocks automatically when AirStudio S1 is connected to an iPhone or iPad using USB-C and Cubasis LE is opened. Cubase LE for Windows/macOS includes a redemption code inside the AirStudio S1 box.

How do I activate the included software?

For Cubasis LE (iOS): install the app, connect AirStudio S1 via USB-C, power on the device, and open Cubasis LE. It will automatically detect AirStudio S1 and unlock the LE version. For Cubase LE (Windows/macOS): use the redemption code included in the box, redeem it through the HISONG / Steinberg activation process, and complete setup according to the official guide.

I didn’t receive my code. What should I do?

Please first use the tracking number in your shipping confirmation email to check the latest delivery status with the carrier.

What is eLicenser / Steinberg Activation Manager?

Steinberg Activation Manager is Steinberg’s licensing system used for software activation on newer Steinberg products and services. If you are using Steinberg-related software or bundled workflows, it may be part of the activation process. eLicenser refers to Steinberg’s older licensing system used by some previous products.
