How to use low-latency monitoring for singing and recording
Short answer
Use the included HISONG wireless in-ear monitors with AirStudio S1 to hear your voice in real time while singing, recording, or performing.
Steps
- Open the AirStudio S1 capsule.
- Take out the wireless in-ear monitors.
- Wear the monitors.
- Turn on or wake AirStudio S1.
- Start singing or speaking into the microphone.
- Adjust monitoring level in HISONG Link if needed.
- Add EQ, compression, reverb, or noise reduction in HISONG Link if your workflow requires it.
Why it matters
Low-latency monitoring lets singers and creators hear their voice while performing, which helps with pitch, timing, confidence, and recording control. HISONG ZeroSync is designed for ultra-low-latency wireless monitoring, with microphone-to-in-ear monitoring latency around 20 ms.
Best for
- Singing practice
- Vocal recording
- Live streaming
- Street performance
- DAW recording
- Hearing processed sound while performing
Important note
Standard Bluetooth headphones are not recommended for singing or recording because Bluetooth latency is too high for real-time monitoring. Use the included HISONG wireless in-ear monitors instead.
