How to start a mobile songwriting workflow with AirStudio S1
Short answer
Start with AirStudio S1 connected directly to your phone by USB-C, use HISONG Link to capture your vocal and backing track separately, then export the tracks for editing, sharing, or finishing in a DAW.
Steps
- Connect AirStudio S1 to your phone using USB-C.
- Open HISONG Link.
- Prepare your backing track or instrumental on your phone.
- Enable Multi-Track Recording / Auto Capture.
- Record your vocal idea over the backing track.
- Export the dry vocal, backing track, and mixed track.
- Share the files with a collaborator or import them into a DAW.
- Continue production in Logic, Cubase, Ableton, GarageBand, or another DAW.
Why this workflow works
AirStudio S1 is designed to help musicians move from idea capture to usable demo faster. Multi-Track Recording gives users separate vocal and backing tracks that can be used directly for post-production, mixing, and final music production.

Important note
For separate vocal and backing tracks, use USB-C direct connection. RX Mini and RX Plus do not support Multi-Track Recording.
