How to record vocals and backing track separately on AirStudio S1
What DualTrack Recording captures
When enabled, HISONG Link automatically records three synchronized tracks:
- Dry vocal track from the microphone
- Backing track from the phone’s system audio or music apps
- Mixed track with DSP effects
These files can be exported as WAV files and used in DAWs or editing apps.
Steps
- Connect AirStudio S1 directly to your phone with a USB-C cable.
- Open HISONG Link.
- Enable Multi-Track Recording / Auto Capture.
- Play your backing track from a supported music or audio app on your phone.
- Record your vocal performance.
- After recording, export the vocal, backing, and mixed tracks.
- Import the files into Logic, Cubase, Ableton, GarageBand, or another DAW for editing.
Important limitations
DualTrack Recording does not work through:
- RX Mini
- RX Plus
- Bluetooth
- Third-party audio interfaces
